Asbestos Awareness Training

Overview
Asbestos is a natural fibre, formerly mined & used commercially for its strength and resistance to fire. Evidence of its use in building & construction, as well as domestic products such as pots and other cooking materials, dates back thousands of years.
Unfortunately, while as a product it was highly valued and sought after, it was found that the inhalation of asbestos fibres can cause serious illnesses such as lung cancer, asbestosis and mesothelioma. These illnesses can take decades to be recognised, and can lead to a very difficult life or a very painful death. Following a widespread knowledge of the dangers associated with asbestos, the use of this fibre has been banned in many countries, including Australia.

Course Info
This course helps the reader to develop an awareness of the effects of Asbestos, as well as how to safely and responsibly deal with Asbestos in both the workplace and home environment. Not Certified.

No, there is no test at any point during the course.

Do I get a certificate?
On successful completion of the course you will receive a Certificate of Completion as recognition that you have completed the course.
